Les infusions

Comme pour le thé, l’histoire des infusions commence en l’an 2737 avant Jésus Christ lorsque l’empereur de Chine Shen Nung découvrit le procédé d’infusion en utilisant une feuille de thé et de l’eau bouillante. (source)
Infusions et matés

Les infusions sont des boissons chaudes à base de plantes et/fruits séchés comme le thé. Cependant, il n’y a pas de présence de théine. Nous avons deux sortes d’infusions : les Herboristeries et les Infusions de fruits.

  • Les Herboristeries : Les infusions à base d’herbe sont le plus souvent constitués de menthe, de tilleul, de camomille ..
  • Les infusions de fruits : Les mélanges de fruits sont, depuis de nombreuses années, un complément rafraichissant aux thés verts et noirs. On désigne les infusions de cynorrhodon, d’hibiscus, de morceaux de pommes et d’autres fruits secs ainsi. Et sont la plupart du temps, servies en complément de la nourriture destinées aux malades ou pour le dîner. Les mélanges de fruits ne contiennent ni de la caféine, ni des tanins. Ils sont de ce fait, peu exigeants au niveau de la préparation et ils forment une alternative saine pour les jeunes et les moins jeunes.
Froids ou chauds, ils se consomment été comme hiver !

Le maté

Le Yerba maté est un arbre de la famille des houx, l’ilex paraguensis. Celui-ci peut se développer jusqu’à 8 mètres de hauteur à l’état sauvage. Il est originaire des zones subtropicales d’Argentine, d’Uruguay, du Paraguay et du sud de Brésil. Le Nord-Est de l’Argentine accueille les meilleurs plantations favorisées par l’humidité et la terre rouge de Misiones. Il est riche en oligoéléments (fer, phosphore, magnésium…), en vitamines (A, B1, B2, C et K) ainsi qu’en tanins. Il se composé à 2.5% de matéine, substance naturelle qui possède les effets dynamisants de la caféine sans provoquer d’énervement. Excellente source d’antioxydants, le maté contribue à tonifier l’organisme, à combattre la fatigue mentale et physique à court terme, notamment par la détoxication sanguine. Il soulage les douleurs rhumatismales et les maux de tête, ses effets hypotenseurs participent à l’équilibre du système.
